After the trump is turned up, the turn proceeds as follows: 1. Each player in turn examines his cards [1]. 2. If a player does not care whether the trump suit remains unchanged or not, he says: "I pass" [1]. 3. Any player who thinks it would be to his advantage to have the turn-up remain the trump may order the dealer to take it up by saying "I order it" (if an adversary) or "I assist" (if the dealer's partner) [2][3]. 4. If all players pass, the dealer must decide whether to let the trump remain as it is or insist on its being changed [1][4]. 5. If the dealer decides to take the trump card into his hand, he discards one worthless card face down under the remainder of the pack [1][5]. 6. If the dealer decides to turn the trump down, he takes the trump card from the top of the pack and places it face upward and partly under the pack so it can be seen [1][5]. 7. After the dealer's decision, it becomes the turn of the other players, each in succession to the left of the dealer, to name some other suit for the trump or to pass a second time [1][5].
