How do I set up the game?

**Multiplayer Game Setup** 1. Place the game board in the center of the table [1]. 2. Shuffle the 8 Timeline tiles, draw 4 at random, arrange them as shown (selecting sides at random), and frame these tiles with the Start and End tiles, returning the unused tiles to the box [1]. 3. Place the 4 action markers on their corresponding starting positions on the far left of the Timeline [1]. 4. For a 4/3/2-player game, select 4/8/16 Department tiles at random and return them to the game box, then place the remaining Department tiles face-up on the table [1]. 5. Create a supply of goods cubes and banknotes near the main game board [1]. 6. Provide each player with: * 4 goods cubes and $12 [1]. * 1 Company board and a set of 4 different project tabs, sliding each tab under the right side of their individual game boards so colors and icons match (leaving the first space exposed) [1]. * 10 Employee figurines; each player places 1 employee standing up on each of their Company's 5 Departments and 5 employees lying down in their Company's Lobby, setting the remaining 5 aside [1]. * 30 player disks; each player must place: * 1 disk on the '0' position of the score track [1]. * 1 disk on the first space of each of the 4 regional transportation tracks [1]. * 1 disk on each of the 3 available spaces on their project tabs (Housing, Commerce, Industry) [1]. * The remaining 22 disks form the player's personal supply [1]. 7. Designate the most daring player as the first player; that player receives the first-player marker and the Timeline marker [1]. 8. For a 4-player game, give each player an Action Choice tile [1]. In a 3-player game, only the third player receives an Action Choice tile; there are no Action Choice tiles in a 2-player game [1]. 9. For a 2-player game, set aside 18 disks from an unused player color and shuffle the solo-game action cards; draw one card and place a disk on the donation chart in the space indicated at the top of the card [1]. 10. (For 2 or 3 players) Beginning with the player sitting to the right of the first player and going counter-clockwise, each player places the disk from their Housing tab onto the game board on a Housing space in a medium or major city; for a 3-player game, use 9 disks instead [2]. Then, they choose one Department tile to place in their personal reserve [2]. 11. (For 2 or 3 players) Starting with the first player and going in clockwise order, each player may move their employees up to a total of 6 steps on their own Company board; each movement must be made to an orthogonally adjacent space, and after an employee moves, they must be laid down [2]. 12. (For 2 or 3 players) Once these movements are completed, each player may activate employees [2]. **Solo Game Setup** 1. Player setup is identical to that of the normal, 2-player game [3]. 2. Set the game up for Andrew: * Andrew does not use employees, VP, money, goods cubes, or study points, and does not use an individual Company board [3]. * Use disks from any unused player color; Andrew starts with all his disks available for construction [3]. * Andrew will not place a disk on the game board or take a Department during setup [3]. * Place one disk on each of the 4 regional transportation tracks for Andrew [3]. * Align Andrew's 5 victory-point cards in numerical order, with the 0 VP card on the left and the 10 VP card on the right [3]. 3. Decide on a difficulty level by forming a face-down deck of action cards: * Beginner Game: 20 normal cards [3]. * Normal Game: 15 normal cards and 5 advanced cards, drawn at random [3]. * Difficult Game: 10 normal cards and 10 advanced cards, drawn at random [3]. * Expert Game: 5 normal cards and 15 advanced cards, drawn at random [3]. 4. Shuffle the deck and place it to the left of the 0 VP card [3]. 5. Place the Timeline marker next to the Timeline, and the locomotive at the top-left of the first victory-point

score = the fused retrieval score (reciprocal-rank fusion over the search arms) — NOT a cosine similarity. This ruling ran the THREE-ARM fuse (full-text + vector + the doc-priority boost arm, which carried the base rulebook and/or the errata corrections this query matched), whose arithmetic ceiling is 0.04918 — all three arms ranking the same chunk #1 (ceiling = arms/(k+1) at k=60). The measured healthy band 0.016–0.033 was measured on TWO-arm asks and does not bound this one: its high end is the two-arm ceiling, and a third arm has room above it. A chunk only one arm ranked highly lands near 0.016 (that one arm's #1 vote), so 0.03 here is an excellent hit, not a 3% match.

per-arm ranks (the rank each search arm gave a chunk): NOT DISCLOSED by the gateway. Fusion happens gateway-side and only the FUSED score crosses the wire, so rulesage cannot show them without a gateway change. The rank column below is the FUSED rank (position in the returned list), which is real.

token count per chunk: NOT DISCLOSED — chunk token counts are not reported on the ask path. The character counts below are of the bounded snippet/quote rulesage actually received — a real measurement of what we hold, never an estimate of the chunk.

stream path
streamed — the gateway pushed at least one accumulated draft
watchdog
first-token watchdog: 30s per arming window (rulesage.table.first-token-watchdog-seconds), re-armed once by the passages frame — so the worst case before a reader falls back to polling is 60s. Whether it actually fired is a BROWSER-side decision that never reaches the server, so it is not recorded here. The stream path above is the server's half of that story: whether a delta was emitted at all.
num_ctx · think posture
both are the CHILD's settings, not rulesage's, and no ask reply carries them — an answer never states which context window or think posture produced it. The live-seat line above reads them from the running child instead, where the gateway can answer for itself; it describes the child NOW, not this ask.

this game registers NO errata cards (edition 230), so "no registered errata card matched" above could never have matched one

Errata scope: the gate above matched this ruling's own edition only. When an ask also reads an expansion, that expansion's own registered errata cards stay outside the match — a stated phase-1 limitation, not a failed lookup.
