How do I set up the game?

Answered counted as answered

Asked with: Kingsburgbg-199966-en-1e

To set up the basic game, follow these steps: 1. Place the game board in the center of the table [1]. 2. On the game board, place the season marker on space '1' and the king's envoy marker on space '5' of the season track [1]. 3. Place the year marker on space 'I' of the year track [1]. 4. To create the supply, place the goods and the '+2' tokens in their corresponding spaces on the board, and place the bonus dice near the board [1]. 5. To create the enemy deck, sort the enemy cards into five piles according to the roman numeral shown on the card backs [1]. 6. Starting with year V and in descending order of year, randomly take one card from each pile without looking at it and place it in a facedown pile on space '8' of the $\text{season track}$ [1]. 7. Return any remaining cards to the box without looking at them [1]. 8. Each player chooses one color and takes the player dice, wooden disks, and building tokens of that color, a reference card, and a province sheet with its blue side faceup [1]. 9. Return any player pieces of unused colors to the box [1]. 10. Each player places one of his wooden disks on space '0' of the soldier track and another disk on space '0' of the score track [1]. 11. Collect each player's last wooden disk and place each of them on a different space of the turn order chart in a random order starting from the top [1]. If you are using expansion modules, follow these additional setup steps: **Module 1 (More Buildings):** * Use the red side of the province sheet instead of the blue side [2]. **Module 2 (Alternate Buildings):** * Shuffle all 14 alternate building strips facedown [3]. * If players are using module 2 but not module 1, remove the A and G strips [3]. * Deal two strips to each player [3]. * Each player chooses whether to use both, one, or none of those strips [3]. * If a player is dealt two identical strips, he may return one in exchange for another random strip [3]. * Place each chosen alternate building strip on the province sheet to cover the row with the matching letter, replacing it [3]. * Return all unused strips to the box [3]. **Module 3 (Governor Cards):** * Shuffle the governor cards and deal three cards facedown to each player [4]. * Return any remaining cards to the box [4]. * Each player chooses one of his three governor cards to keep, places it facedown in front of him, and returns the other two cards to the box [4]. * After all players have chosen a governor, they simultaneously reveal their cards [4]. **Module 4 (Destiny Cards):** * Shuffle the destiny cards and place them facedown near the game board to create the destiny deck [4]. **Module 5 (Soldier Tokens):** * Each player takes the six soldier tokens of his color [4]. **Module 6 (Alternate Advisor Rewards):** * Shuffle the advisor tiles and place them facedown near the board [5].

score = the fused retrieval score (reciprocal-rank fusion over the search arms) — NOT a cosine similarity. This ruling ran the THREE-ARM fuse (full-text + vector + the doc-priority boost arm, which carried the base rulebook and/or the errata corrections this query matched), whose arithmetic ceiling is 0.04918 — all three arms ranking the same chunk #1 (ceiling = arms/(k+1) at k=60). The measured healthy band 0.016–0.033 was measured on TWO-arm asks and does not bound this one: its high end is the two-arm ceiling, and a third arm has room above it. A chunk only one arm ranked highly lands near 0.016 (that one arm's #1 vote), so 0.03 here is an excellent hit, not a 3% match.

per-arm ranks (the rank each search arm gave a chunk): NOT DISCLOSED by the gateway. Fusion happens gateway-side and only the FUSED score crosses the wire, so rulesage cannot show them without a gateway change. The rank column below is the FUSED rank (position in the returned list), which is real.

token count per chunk: NOT DISCLOSED — chunk token counts are not reported on the ask path. The character counts below are of the bounded snippet/quote rulesage actually received — a real measurement of what we hold, never an estimate of the chunk.

stream path
streamed — the gateway pushed at least one accumulated draft
watchdog
first-token watchdog: 30s per arming window (rulesage.table.first-token-watchdog-seconds), re-armed once by the passages frame — so the worst case before a reader falls back to polling is 60s. Whether it actually fired is a BROWSER-side decision that never reaches the server, so it is not recorded here. The stream path above is the server's half of that story: whether a delta was emitted at all.
num_ctx · think posture
both are the CHILD's settings, not rulesage's, and no ask reply carries them — an answer never states which context window or think posture produced it. The live-seat line above reads them from the running child instead, where the gateway can answer for itself; it describes the child NOW, not this ask.

this game registers NO errata cards (edition 58), so "no registered errata card matched" above could never have matched one

Errata scope: the gate above matched this ruling's own edition only. When an ask also reads an expansion, that expansion's own registered errata cards stay outside the match — a stated phase-1 limitation, not a failed lookup.
