How should we prepare everything before the first turn?

Answered counted as answered

Asked with: Seasonsbg-108745-en-1e

To prepare everything before the first turn, follow these steps: 1. Place the game board in the middle of the table [1][2]. 2. Place the Year token on space 1 of the year track and the Season token on space 1 of the season wheel [1][2]. 3. Place as many dice of each color as there are players plus 1 [1]. (Specifically: three dice of each color for two players; four dice of each color for three players; or five dice of each color for four players) [2]. 4. Place the crystal track next to the game board [1][2]. 5. Place the energy stockpile next to the crystal track [1][2]. 6. Give each player an individual board, two Library tokens (Library II and III), and four matching Sorcerer tokens [1][3]. 7. Each player places their Sorcerer tokens: one on the zero space at the bottom of the crystal track, one on the second zero space at the top of the crystal track, one on the zero space of their individual board's Bonus track, and one on the zero space of their Summoning gauge [1][3]. 8. Shuffle all Power cards and deal nine face-down to each player [3]. 9. Set aside the remaining cards next to the game board to form the draw pile, leaving a space for the discard pile [1][3]. 10. Each player checks their nine dealt cards, picks one to place face-down in front of them, and places the remaining eight cards between themselves and the player to their left [1][3]. 11. Players repeat the selection process by picking one card from the eight cards set aside for them by the player to their right, until no cards are left to be chosen [1][3]. 12. From the nine selected cards, each player assembles three sets of three cards each: the first set goes into their hand; the second and third sets are placed under the Library II and III tokens, respectively, to enter the hand at the beginning of the second and third years [1][4]. 13. The youngest player is chosen as the first player [1][3][4]. 14. The first player takes the Season dice corresponding to the season indicated by the Season token and rolls them [1][4].

score = the fused retrieval score (reciprocal-rank fusion over the search arms) — NOT a cosine similarity. This ruling ran the THREE-ARM fuse (full-text + vector + the doc-priority boost arm, which carried the base rulebook and/or the errata corrections this query matched), whose arithmetic ceiling is 0.04918 — all three arms ranking the same chunk #1 (ceiling = arms/(k+1) at k=60). The measured healthy band 0.016–0.033 was measured on TWO-arm asks and does not bound this one: its high end is the two-arm ceiling, and a third arm has room above it. A chunk only one arm ranked highly lands near 0.016 (that one arm's #1 vote), so 0.03 here is an excellent hit, not a 3% match.

per-arm ranks (the rank each search arm gave a chunk): NOT DISCLOSED by the gateway. Fusion happens gateway-side and only the FUSED score crosses the wire, so rulesage cannot show them without a gateway change. The rank column below is the FUSED rank (position in the returned list), which is real.

token count per chunk: NOT DISCLOSED — chunk token counts are not reported on the ask path. The character counts below are of the bounded snippet/quote rulesage actually received — a real measurement of what we hold, never an estimate of the chunk.

stream path
streamed — the gateway pushed at least one accumulated draft
watchdog
first-token watchdog: 30s per arming window (rulesage.table.first-token-watchdog-seconds), re-armed once by the passages frame — so the worst case before a reader falls back to polling is 60s. Whether it actually fired is a BROWSER-side decision that never reaches the server, so it is not recorded here. The stream path above is the server's half of that story: whether a delta was emitted at all.
num_ctx · think posture
both are the CHILD's settings, not rulesage's, and no ask reply carries them — an answer never states which context window or think posture produced it. The live-seat line above reads them from the running child instead, where the gateway can answer for itself; it describes the child NOW, not this ask.

NOT_SETUP_SHAPED — no setup-shape pattern matched this question

this game registers NO errata cards (edition 380), so "no registered errata card matched" above could never have matched one

Errata scope: the gate above matched this ruling's own edition only. When an ask also reads an expansion, that expansion's own registered errata cards stay outside the match — a stated phase-1 limitation, not a failed lookup.
