How do I play?

Asked with: Throw Throw Burritobg-274533-en-1e

To play Throw Throw Burrito, follow these steps:
Setup
1. Clear space and remove glasses, food, and breakables.[1]
2. Shuffle the deck of cards.[1]
3. Deal approximately 15 cards face down to each player, placing their Personal Draw Pile to their right.[1]
4. Split the remaining cards into two even(ish) piles in the middle of the table to form Community Piles.[1]
5. Place the Burritos and Burrito Bruises in the middle of the table so each player can reach at least one Burrito and one Community Pile.[1]
6. Each player takes the top 5 cards from their Personal Draw Pile to look at them.[1]
Gameplay
1. All players go at the same time; there are no turns.[1]
2. Try to get 3-of-a-kind Sets as fast as you can by discarding cards from your hand one at a time and drawing new ones from your Personal Draw Pile.[1]
3. You can never have more than 5 cards in your hand, so you must always discard before you draw.[1]
4. Discard cards face down onto the Personal Draw Pile of the player to your left; cards move around the table.[1]
5. If your Personal Draw Pile runs out, you may draw from either Community Pile, but you must resume drawing from your Personal Draw Pile once it has cards again.[1]
6. When you get a Set of 3 matching cards, put them face up in your Score Pile and draw 3 more cards from your Personal Draw Pile.[1]
7. If you collect 3 matching Battle Cards, put them in your Score Pile and yell the name of the battle: Brawl, War, or Duel.[2]
Battles
* Brawl: When you play 3 matching Brawl Cards, the players to your left and right are in a Brawl.[2] They should each try to grab a Burrito as quickly as possible and throw it at each other; the first to be hit loses.[2]
* War: When you play 3 matching War Cards, all players except the person who played the cards are in a War.[2] They should try to grab a Burrito and throw it at any other player; the first player hit (excluding the player who played the cards) loses.[2]
* Duel: When you play 3 matching Duel Cards, pick any 2 players (including yourself).[2] Those players grab a Burrito and stand back to back.[2] Both players simultaneously say "3.. 2.. 1.. Burrito!" as they take a step away from each other in a straight line, and on "Burrito!" they turn and throw.[2] The first player hit loses.[2]
* General Battle Rules: During a battle, the first player to get hit loses.[3] If you catch a thrown Burrito, the thrower loses the battle.[3] If you try to catch a Burrito and fumble but catch it without it hitting another object, it counts as a catch.[3] If you hit a player not in the battle, or if the Burrito hits an object before hitting you, it counts as a miss.[4] After a miss, any battling player can pick up the Burrito and immediately throw it again.[4]
Scoring and Ending the Game
1. Scoring: Sets of 3 matching cards are worth 1 point.[2] Sets of 3 Burrito Cards (Brawl, War, or Duel) are worth 2 points.[2] Burrito Bruises (received when losing a battle) are worth -1 point.[5]
2. The game is played in two rounds.[5]
3. The first round ends when the last Burrito Bruise is given out.[5] The player with the most points wins that round and receives the Fear Me Badge.[5]
4. Reset the table and play a second round.[5]
5. At the end of round 2, if the player with the Fear Me Badge wins again, they win the game.[5]
6. If someone else wins the second round, that person must Duel the player with the Fear Me Badge to determine the winner.[5]
7. If 2 players tie at the end of either round, resolve the tie with a Duel.[5]
8. If 3 or more players tie, reshuffle the entire deck and have 1 player draw until a War Card appears to start a War between the tied players.[5]

what this block IS: the PASSAGE SEARCH's own results — the same search that fills this page's closest-passages list — and NOT the passages the answerer read. Answering runs its OWN retrieval: a far wider candidate pool, re-ranked down to a final handful, plus floors this search never applies — the base rulebook, surviving errata corrections, and one slot per book on a multi-book read. Each of those armed only if THIS ask sent what it needs: the boost block names the ids it forwarded, and the scope line names the books it read. A document the answer CITES that no row here names is therefore EXPECTED, not a defect: two searches, two candidate pools, two orders. The answerer's own final rows are shown in their own block below, beside these and never mixed into them.

score = the fused retrieval score (reciprocal-rank fusion over the search arms) — NOT a cosine similarity. This ruling ran the THREE-ARM fuse (full-text + vector + the doc-priority boost arm, which carried the base rulebook and/or the errata corrections this query matched), whose arithmetic ceiling is 0.04918 — all three arms ranking the same chunk #1 (ceiling = arms/(k+1) at k=60). The measured healthy band 0.016–0.033 was measured on TWO-arm asks and does not bound this one: its high end is the two-arm ceiling, and a third arm has room above it. A chunk only one arm ranked highly lands near 0.016 (that one arm's #1 vote), so 0.03 here is an excellent hit, not a 3% match.

per-arm ranks (the rank each search arm gave a chunk): NOT DISCLOSED by the gateway. Fusion happens gateway-side and only the FUSED score crosses the wire, so rulesage cannot show them without a gateway change. The rank column below is the FUSED rank (position in the returned list), which is real.

token count per chunk: NOT DISCLOSED — chunk token counts are not reported on the ask path. The character counts below are of the bounded snippet/quote rulesage actually received — a real measurement of what we hold, never an estimate of the chunk.

what this block IS: the passages the ANSWERING read put in front of the answerer, in the order it read them — the other half of the two reads described above, and the one that decides what the answer could possibly say. Each row names the book it came from and where in that book it sits, what it scored when the search arms were fused, which arm carried it there, and whether the re-ranker chose it or a floor guaranteed it a slot. A row here that no passage-search row names is EXPECTED: a far wider pool, re-ranked, with floors the passage search never applies.

candidate pool: the answering read scored 5 passages, out of a ceiling of 80 set gateway-side. Both figures are reported by the gateway for THIS ask — measurements of what actually happened, not constants read out of anyone's source and printed here on faith.

floors armed for this ask: the base rulebook — armed · surviving errata corrections — not armed · one slot per book on a multi-book read — not armed. Every floor is stated on every ask, armed or not, so a floor that did not apply here is never mistaken for one this app does not know about.

arms fused for this ask: vector + full-text + the doc-priority boost arm. Stated separately from the rows because an arm that ran and carried nothing is a different fact from an arm that never ran.

watchdog
first-token watchdog: 30s per arming window (rulesage.table.first-token-watchdog-seconds), re-armed once by the passages frame — so the worst case before a reader falls back to polling is 60s. Whether it actually fired is a BROWSER-side decision that never reaches the server, so it is not recorded here. The stream path above is the server's half of that story: whether a delta was emitted at all.
num_ctx · think posture
both are the CHILD's settings, not rulesage's, and no ask reply carries them — an answer never states which context window or think posture produced it. The live-seat line above reads them from the running child instead, where the gateway can answer for itself; it describes the child NOW, not this ask.

this game registers NO errata cards (edition 169), so "no registered errata card matched" above could never have matched one

Errata scope: the gate above matched this ruling's own edition only. When an ask also reads an expansion, that expansion's own registered errata cards stay outside the match — a stated phase-1 limitation, not a failed lookup.
