How do I play?

Asked with: Sushi Rollbg-271869-en-1e

To play the game, follow these steps:
Setup
1. Separate all tokens (chopsticks, menu, pudding, scoring) into piles in the center of the table.[1]
2. Each player takes 2 chopsticks and 3 menu tokens.[1]
3. Select a number of conveyor belts equal to the number of players, ensuring the red-bordered belt is included.[1]
4. Shuffle conveyor belts face-down and deal 1 randomly to each player, then turn them face-up.[1]
5. Place all dice into the dice bag and shake.[1]
6. Each player takes dice randomly from the bag and places them on their conveyor belt.[1]
7. Each player takes a tray and places it face-up in front of them to store collected dice.[1]
Starting a Round
1. All players pick up all dice on their conveyor belts and roll them on the table.[2]
2. Everyone places their dice back on their conveyor belts without changing their faces.[2]
3. The player with the red-bordered conveyor belt goes first.[2]
A Turn
1. On your turn, you may optionally use any number of menu and/or chopsticks tokens:[2]
* Menu: Return 1 menu token to the supply, then pick up any number of dice from your conveyor belt and re-roll them on the table, placing them back on the conveyor belt as rolled.[2]
* Chopsticks: Return 1 chopsticks token to the supply, then choose 1 die on another player's conveyor belt and swap it with 1 die on your conveyor belt without changing either's face (you may never swap dice in another player's tray).[2]
2. Choose 1 die to keep.[2]
3. Move the chosen die from your conveyor belt to your tray without changing its face.[2]
* If you take a pudding die, you immediately take pudding tokens from the center equal to the number of pudding icons on that die.[2]
* If you take a die showing menu or chopsticks icons, you immediately take tokens corresponding to the type and number of icons on the die.[2]
* If you choose a nigiri die and already have a die showing wasabi on your tray, you must place the nigiri die on top of that die (only 1 nigiri die can go on top of each wasabi).[2]
* If you choose a nigiri die and have no wasabi die, you simply place it on your tray.[2]
Continuing the Round
1. Once everyone has taken a turn, if any dice remain on the conveyor belts, all players simultaneously slide their conveyor belts (and the dice on them) to the player on their left.[3]
2. Re-roll all dice just passed to you as done at the start of the round.[3]
3. The player who now has the red-bordered conveyor belt becomes the new starting player, and each player takes another turn.[3]
Scoring a Round
1. At the end of each round, players score the dice collected in their trays.[4]
2. Each player looks at all faces showing on their dice and takes scoring tokens equal to the points scored.[4]
3. Maki Rolls: Players compare the number of maki roll icons; the player with the most scores 6 points, and the player with the second most scores 3 points (ties receive full points).[4]
4. Nigiri: Each egg nigiri is worth 1 point, salmon is worth 2 points, and squid is worth 3 points; a nigiri die on top of a wasabi die is tripled in value.[4]
5. Note: In a 3-player game only, players slide conveyor belts to the left at the end of the round; otherwise, belts stay in place to ensure the start player changes.[4]
Ending the Game
1. After the third round, perform final scoring.[5]
2. Pudding: The player with the most pudding tokens scores 6 points; the player with the fewest (including 0) loses 6 points (in a 2-player game, the player with the fewest does not lose 6 points).[5]
3. Unused Tokens: Each player receives 1 point for every set of 2 unused menu and/or chopsticks tokens remaining.[5]
4. Appetizers: Score dumplings, tempura, and sashimi based on the number of icons in sets:[5]
* Dumplings: 1 icon = 1 pt, 2 = 3 pts, 3 = 2 pts, 4 = 8 pts.[5]

what this block IS: the PASSAGE SEARCH's own results — the same search that fills this page's closest-passages list — and NOT the passages the answerer read. Answering runs its OWN retrieval: a far wider candidate pool, re-ranked down to a final handful, plus floors this search never applies — the base rulebook, surviving errata corrections, and one slot per book on a multi-book read. Each of those armed only if THIS ask sent what it needs: the boost block names the ids it forwarded, and the scope line names the books it read. A document the answer CITES that no row here names is therefore EXPECTED, not a defect: two searches, two candidate pools, two orders. The answerer's own final rows are shown in their own block below, beside these and never mixed into them.

score = the fused retrieval score (reciprocal-rank fusion over the search arms) — NOT a cosine similarity. This ruling ran the THREE-ARM fuse (full-text + vector + the doc-priority boost arm, which carried the base rulebook and/or the errata corrections this query matched), whose arithmetic ceiling is 0.04918 — all three arms ranking the same chunk #1 (ceiling = arms/(k+1) at k=60). The measured healthy band 0.016–0.033 was measured on TWO-arm asks and does not bound this one: its high end is the two-arm ceiling, and a third arm has room above it. A chunk only one arm ranked highly lands near 0.016 (that one arm's #1 vote), so 0.03 here is an excellent hit, not a 3% match.

per-arm ranks (the rank each search arm gave a chunk): NOT DISCLOSED by the gateway. Fusion happens gateway-side and only the FUSED score crosses the wire, so rulesage cannot show them without a gateway change. The rank column below is the FUSED rank (position in the returned list), which is real.

token count per chunk: NOT DISCLOSED — chunk token counts are not reported on the ask path. The character counts below are of the bounded snippet/quote rulesage actually received — a real measurement of what we hold, never an estimate of the chunk.

what this block IS: the passages the ANSWERING read put in front of the answerer, in the order it read them — the other half of the two reads described above, and the one that decides what the answer could possibly say. Each row names the book it came from and where in that book it sits, what it scored when the search arms were fused, which arm carried it there, and whether the re-ranker chose it or a floor guaranteed it a slot. A row here that no passage-search row names is EXPECTED: a far wider pool, re-ranked, with floors the passage search never applies.

candidate pool: the answering read scored 7 passages, out of a ceiling of 80 set gateway-side. Both figures are reported by the gateway for THIS ask — measurements of what actually happened, not constants read out of anyone's source and printed here on faith.

floors armed for this ask: the base rulebook — armed · surviving errata corrections — not armed · one slot per book on a multi-book read — not armed. Every floor is stated on every ask, armed or not, so a floor that did not apply here is never mistaken for one this app does not know about.

arms fused for this ask: vector + full-text + the doc-priority boost arm. Stated separately from the rows because an arm that ran and carried nothing is a different fact from an arm that never ran.

watchdog
first-token watchdog: 30s per arming window (rulesage.table.first-token-watchdog-seconds), re-armed once by the passages frame — so the worst case before a reader falls back to polling is 60s. Whether it actually fired is a BROWSER-side decision that never reaches the server, so it is not recorded here. The stream path above is the server's half of that story: whether a delta was emitted at all.
num_ctx · think posture
both are the CHILD's settings, not rulesage's, and no ask reply carries them — an answer never states which context window or think posture produced it. The live-seat line above reads them from the running child instead, where the gateway can answer for itself; it describes the child NOW, not this ask.

this game registers NO errata cards (edition 1164), so "no registered errata card matched" above could never have matched one

Errata scope: the gate above matched this ruling's own edition only. When an ask also reads an expansion, that expansion's own registered errata cards stay outside the match — a stated phase-1 limitation, not a failed lookup.
